County Council Elections 1 May 2025

Elections for Buckinghamshire County Council will take place on 1 May 2025.  The formal Notices of Election has been published:

Chearsley Parish Council

The election for Chearsley Parish Council, originally also planned for 1 May, will not now take place as there were fewer candidates than the maximum 7 places on the Council.  The five people that submitted nomination papers have been notified by the Returning Officer that they are duly deemed elected as Parish Councillors.  They are David Impey, Simon Jacobs, Carol Kearney, Nick Richards and Karen Vear and take up office on Tuesday 6 May, on which date the existing Councillors stand down.  The first meeting of the new Council will take place on Monday 19 May at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. Congratulations and best wishes are due to our new Councillors, along with thanks for agreeing to take on this important role.

The Council also has a new Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) - Martin Johnson ('Sheepy' to most) took over from Robert Parkes on 1 April.  Thanks and welcome to Sheepy, and thanks also to Robert who has so professionally managed the Council's finances for 9 years.
